Television Advertising For Online Gaming Sites

While here in the United States the fight rages on whether online gaming should be legal, illegal or regulated by the government and the amount of internet poker players continues to grow daily, things are different in other countries and the way they are dealing with online gambling websites and computer users who frequent them.

In the U.K. this week will see a new way for online gambling sites advertising their websites, as they for the first time advertise their websites on television. The first of these sites will be an online Bingo site and there will be many more to follow.

The U.K. government has realized the laws they had in place did not deter their citizens from online gaming and is now taking a more relaxed position and making changes to a 2005 Act on Internet Gambling, these changes are now allowing television advertising for online gaming site owners.
