Richard Lee’s supposed Bookie List Released

Back in October of last year, Richard Lee was arrested after a fourteen month investigation by police for an alleged gambling operation. Lee had placed 6th in the 2006 WSOP and all of his accrued money from the event was taken from him by police. Several items were taken from Lee's home during a raid that took place following the investigation. Recently an alleged list has come to light that is being considered Lee's bookie list.

The list was released by the Bexar County District Attorney's Office this past Tuesday. Several gamblers names have been exposed but they will not be prosecuted. That is according to a lawyer in the city. The list contains over 3,000 names of people who supposedly made bets through Lee. Susan Reed, the District Attorney, has stated it would be hard to prove that the people named placed bets with Lee.

Along with the names on the list, there is also information on each person, such as: addresses, phone numbers and other comments. Greg Abbott, the Attorney General, decided to release the list to the public after some revision. Reed stated that the list does contain some recognizable names but none of the information is earth shattering. She also stated that her office will not pursue any charges against the people named on the list. "Being the number of names on here, being a Class C misdemeanor... the cost of that would be incredible," she said. "(It's) not something I'm interested in spending a huge amount of taxpayer money on."
