Betfair Poker Has Signed Sorel Mizzi

As promised earlier this week Betfair Poker has announced that they have signed Sorel Mizzi to their list of poker pro's.  Mizzi was a great choice for Betfair Poker since he is one of the best online players right now and will be joining another great player, Annette Obrested who is already on their team.                                                                                                                

Betfair Poker also said that their announcement would be a "headline grabber" and they have delivered on that count as wll, since Mizzi was associtated ith the multi accounting scandals that happened last year.                                                                           

So what is Betfair getting, Sorel Mizzi is known as Imper1um online and can be found at some of the highest staked cash games and sit and go's online.  He has also won the Pocketfives online player of the year awatd and also appears regularly in the High Stakes Showdown on Poker Stars.  He also won the largest sit and go in online history at Titan Poker.

At the press conference today in Copenhagen Mizzi said, "Overall 2007 was a great year for me and by joining Betfair Poker in 2008 I'm getting in with a team which not only has a great reputation but more importantly, it's going places. With Betfair backing us, I reckon Annette 15 and I have more than enough firepower to take down a few of the big names in tournament poker.
