Griffin & Brown Now Members of Team PokerStars Pro
PokerStars has announced that they have signed two new members to their team. Gavin Griffin and Chad Brown are the two newest members of Team PokerStars Pro.
Gavin Griffin recently made history when he became the first person to get a triple crown. He has won titles from three major events, the World Series of Poker, European Poker Tour and the World Poker Tour,
Griffin won his first WSOP bracelet in 2005 when he was 22. He won the $3k Pot Limit Hold'em event that also made him the youngest winner ever at the time. Griffin then went on to win $2.4 million for his win at the EPT Grand Final in 2007 and then he won $1.4 million from the 2008 WPT Borgata Winter Open.
"This is the team I want to play with," said Griffin. "Team PokerStars Pro has nine other gold bracelet winners and the best online players in the world. I am proud to be a part of this line up."
Chad Brown had been playing in tournaments since 1993. He had several strong World Poker Tour cashes in 2006 which earned him the Bluff Magazine Player of the Year award. He has also won the $5,200 H.O.R.S.E. event in the World Championship of Online Poker that won him $223,000 dollars.
"I'm ecstatic to be with Team PokerStars Pro," said Chad. "I am obviously familiar with the team from the tournament circuit and it's great to be on a Team that includes legends like Daniel Negreanu and Joe Hachem. I am looking forward to winning a few bracelets and contributing to the team."
