Progressive Gaming International Corp. Software Approved by GLI
The Progressive Gaming International Corporation has created a new World Series of Poker Texas Hold'em peer-to-peer console software. The Progressive Gaming International Corporation creates integrated casino and jackpot management solutions as an American supplier. The Company recently had their new software approved by the Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) testing agency.
Harrah's Licensing Company hired Progressive Gaming to develop Harrah's WSOP brand into a systems-based gaming product. The software created would be placed in Harrah's casinos. Harrah's signed an exclusive license agreement with Progressive Gaming to create the software.
With the new WSOP software players will be able to play Texas Hold'em person to person against other players at many properties from within a casino. The software will be placed in lounges, bars and restaurants. The new system has many internet style features including cashless account based wagering, player history viewing and different playing options.
"The product recreates the excitement of an Internet poker room within the confines of a regulated casino and its functionality allows operators to leverage available floor space that previously was not used for gaming options. World Series of Poker peer-to-peer Texas Hold'em server-based gaming system provides operators with the ability to generate additional gaming revenue without the need to replace existing gaming units on their casino floors," said Derek Harmer, Senior Vice-President of Global Sports and Wireless Operations for Progressive Gaming.
