Antonio Esfandiari Is Leading EPT Grand Final
It's day 4 at the European Poker Tour Grand Final in Monte Carlo and Antonio Esfandiari is way ahead of the competition with a 300,000 chip lead over the rest of the field. All players still in the tournament sat down in the beginning of day 3 to try and get rid of 44 players in order to be able to cash out.
Taking out the last bubble player turned out to be not so easy as it took over three hours of hand to hand play but in the end Surinder Sunar finally gave in and was sacrificed as the bubble boy. This left 80 players still in the tournament that would all be taking home at least $26,908 dollars for playing.
After that play continued on and at the end of the day there were only 39 players still sitting at the felts. Today's play is already underway for the 39 players and there have already been quite a few players eliminated from day 4 to leave only 28 players still in the tournament.
The players that are still in the tournament are guaranteed at least $60,082 dollars but all are trying for the richer first place prize of $3,193,822 dollars.
