Bodog Announces WSOP Satelite Tournaments
Bodog Poker has announced the commencement of satellite poker tournaments for the 2008 World Series of Poker. The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is set for the 3rd through the 15th of July and will be held at the Rio all Suite Hotel and Casino located in Las Vegas Nevada.
Bodog's Satellite tournament winners will win entry and travel accommodations to the Main Event of the WSOP, a prize package worth $12,000. According to a recent Bodog Poker press release, the online poker room is giving away a minimum of three of these $12,000 packages via "Main Event Semifinal" tournaments that will be held Tuesday's Thursdays and Saturdays on Bodog.
"The WSOP* Main Event is poker's biggest and richest tournament, and Bodog will once again have a major presence at the tables in Las Vegas this summer," said Bodog Founder Calvin Ayre. "Over the past four years, Team Bodog has brought home close to $19 million from the WSOP* Main Event alone, and we're planning on sending a much bigger team than last year to take home even more winnings."
Qualifiers are available at Bodog daily for as little as a buck. Players wishing to buy in directly to a semi final event can do so for $250 + the $20 house fee.
