Busy Sunday for Full Tilt and Poker Stars
This Sunday is going to be one of the busiest days in the history of online tournament poker. There are quite a few big events that are all taking place on Sunday that players might not know where to start. There are going to be the normal weekly evens on sites like UltimateBet.net and Bodog Poker.
The tournaments that everyone is buzzing about however will be on PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker. To start with FTOPS 17 will be wrapping up, this is the $2500 plus $120 two day no limit hold'em event that has some of the best poker players ever playing together in one single online poker tournament.
Also happening at Full Tilt on Sunday are two more FTOPS events, they are FTOPS 19 which is a $240 plus $16 no limit hold'em knockout tournament with a $300,000 guarantee. Then there is the FTOPS main event which will be a $500 plus $35 no limit hold'em main event with a guaranteed prize pool of $2 million dollars, but the prize pool is expected to top that amount.
While Full Tilt Poker is going to be busy, PokerStars is going to be crazy. To start with their is the $2 million Turbo Takedown on Sunday, this was most likely done to take a little of the attention away from Full Tilt. This tournament is unique because there is only one way to buy in, players have to have 10,000 FPP's to get into this tournament.
There is to be a total of $2 Million in the prize pool with the first place winner taking home $200,000, a total of 4,000 players will revive some kind of a payout in this event.
In addition to this even PokerStars will still be running their usual Sunday Million event. Besides the two tournaments that are going to be running there are also going to be other games to play in. There is the Sunday $5200 Freezout, High Stakes Showdown, Sunday $100k, Sunday Warmup and the Sunday Second Chance.
