Day 2 at the WPT World Championship
Day 2 at the World Poker Tour World Championship saw a rise in action from day one, Deep starting stacks limited the first day eliminations to just 121 players while day 2 saw 233 players eliminated.
This could possibly be one of the toughest no limit tournament fields to be seen. At each table there are at least five poker pros with some tables having seven or eight firmiliar faces. But the pro heavy field made for a pro heavy rail and by end of the day there were alot of professional poker players that were eliminated in day two.
Some of the more notable players that are out of the tournament are; Phil Hellmuth, Joe Hachem, Chris Ferguson, Michael Mizrachi and Paul Wasicka. But as for the players that are still in it, Robert Mizrachi took the chip lead early in the day and as day two ended he was the only player with over a half a million in chips.
So as we prepare for day three here's a look at the top nine players in the tournament.
1 - Robert Mizrachi 523,200
2 - Jayde Tran 406,700
3 - Eric Richards 399,500
4 - Bryan Devonshire 393,400
5 - Cory Carroll 384,700
