EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo Tomorrow
The European Poker Tour is headed back to exotic Monte Carlo on the Cote d'Azure for the 2008 Grand Final on Saturday. Some of the worlds best poker players will be there to compete for what has become one of the largest prize pools in the poker world.
This €10,000 or $15,700 buy in event drew in 706 players last year and this year they are expecting even more players to attend. The total amount that was generated was €6,636,400 or $10.5 million dollars. This made the first place prize €1,825,010 or $2.4 million dollars that was won by Gavin Griffin who was also the only poker player to win the triple crown of poker with a WSOP bracelet, a World Poker Tour title and then a European Poker Tour win.
For this years Grand Final Team Bodog will again be represented by World Series of Poker bracelet winners Arieh and David Williams. According to the European Poker Tour website there are already 320 online qualifiers registered, this is almost half of last year's field already.
