Glen Chorny Wins EPT Grand Final
For the third time in a row a player from North America has captured the PokerStars European Poker Tour Grand Final. Glen Chorny took home the win this year after he outlasted 842 other players to take home the €2,020,000 ($3.2 million dollars US) first place prize. Glen Chorny is a twenty two year old business student from Canada.
The second place prize went to Denes Kalo from Hungary who got €1,179,000 ($1.9 million dollars US) for his win. He got eliminated from the tournament after two hands of heads up play with Chorny. Another player from Canada, Maxime Villemure finished in third place after he fought through a fever and stomach problems during the last two days of play.
Chorny started out the day as the chip leader and he continued to amass chips all the way to the final table and eventually to his first place win in the WPT Grand Final. He not only won the first place cash but also revived his first bracelet and hopes to add more to his collection.
