wPT Foxwoods Poker Classic Day 5
It's day 5 at the World Poker Tour's Foxwoods Poker Classic and there are just nine players left that returned at 12pm EDT to play down to the final televised table of six. Erik Seidel started out as chip leader with 2,472,000 in chips and then Adam Katz joined the over 2 million in chips club.
Ted Forrest finished off the top three players left in the tournament that were looking to get some more chips during this warm up before the final battle begins tomorrow. There were four players that were hoping to survive as there chip stacks were under a million.
As play began for the day the World Poker Tour cameras turned on the lights and started to film the action on the first hand. Adam Katz said, "Well, at least there's no pressure", this caused a few players to share in some nervous laughter. Then Katz looked over at Allen Bari and said, "Since the bright light is on me, I'm going to fold."
Michael Farris was one of the short stack holders and he managed to stay in for 10 more hands before going out in ninth place for $40,378 dollars. Allen Bari was eliminated in eighth place and he took home $48,450 dollars. Natale Kuey went home in seventh place for $71,061 dollars and then there were the six left for the televised final table.
The final Table action will begin tomorrow, April 9th at 5pm EDT and six players will be left to compete for first place and some nice money. The Players that are still left are; Erik Seidel in seat 1 with 3,820,000 chips, Frank Cieri in seat 2 with 403,000 chips, Robert Richardson in seat 3 with 526,000 in chips, Ted Forrest in seat 4 with 2,347,000 chips, Andrew Barta in seat 5 with 1,522,000 and Adam Katz in seat 6 with 2,311,000 chips.
