www.PartyPoker.com Review & Bonus Codes

Party Poker is who you'd consider to be an OG of the online poker community. They've been online since 2001, and have gone through their fair share of bumps, bruises and roadblocks along the way. The biggest one would have to be the passing of the UIGEA in 2006, which more or less forced them out of the US market. And in doing so they lost a lot of the market to PokerStars, which they haven't been able to regain, even with PokerStars having to leave the US market.

But like an OG, they adapted. They're still here, and without all the drama that you regularly see from other poker sites. So it hasn't been all bad. In fact, Party Poker is easily one of the most consistent and stable poker sites out there. There are plenty of games running, with traffic in the lower to mid 5-figure level. They host many tournaments, too, some of which award seats to live events, such as Party Poker's World Poker Tour or the WSOPE. They're a publicly traded company as well, which only adds to the security and stableness of the site -- icing on the cake, if you ask me.

All in all, Party Poker is a solid poker site in their own right, even if they don't have a monopoly over the market. The following serves as a general overview of what you can expect to see and receive as a new player to their room.

Party Poker Traffic

Party Poker has between 15-25,000 players on their site at any given time. This is even after combining players pools with Bwin, following their merger in March of 2011. They're about 4th or 5th in terms of overall traffic, only behind PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker and the iPoker Network. However, that also means they're in front of hundreds of other poker sites and they lead the way as one of the biggest poker rooms for British players.

Unfortunately, though, their traffic has been on the decline for the last 6 months. It's hard to say how or why. One could speculate that it has something to do with Party Poker testing player segregation, where they group the good players together and the not-so-good players together. Their goal with this test was to improve the experience, namely for the lesser skilled players. However, at the same time they likely lost a lot of regular players to other sites since segregation would make the games less profitable for the better players.

But that's just speculation. It's hard to say why they're seeing a decline, if it even means anything at all. They still have more traffic than the majority of poker sites worth signing up to.

Party Poker Software

Party Poker uses their own software. So it’ll be unique, unlike most sites that are the same because they were given software from a 3rd party 'network.'

The benefit to creating their own software is that Party Poker can implement or remove any feature they want, without the bottleneck of okaying it with the network first or having to deal with unfamiliar programming. Party Poker has definitely taken advantage of this, adding software features such as:

  • Fast Forward – This is similar to PokerStars Zoom Poker or Full Tilt's Rush Poker.
  • Quick Seat - Enter some parameters and Party Poker will quickly find you a table.
  • Favorites - Add your favorite games to a list to quickly access them later on.
  • Table Positioning - Stack, cascade or tile your tables.
  • Quick Deposit - An (automatic) option that will top off your account and balance at the table.
  • Casino Games - Access and/or play games like bingo, backgammon and blackjack.

These options aren't available everywhere, especially at sites that are on networks.

Banking Options

There are a number of banking options you can use to fund your Party Poker account. Some options include:

  • Visa
  • MasterCard
  • Ukash
  • Skrill (Moneybookers)
  • Neteller
  • Paysafecard
  • Bank Wire Transfer
  • Diners Club
  • Western Union
  • eChecks
  • EntroPay
  • PayPal
  • ClickandBuy
  • Instadebit

Seemingly, none of their deposit options have fees. However, this is only on Party Poker’s end. What fees you pay, if any, will also depend on your bank/e-wallet.

Customer Service

Party Poker can be reached via the following channels:

  • Email via the form on their site
  • Live chat
  • Phone

You’ll need to visit Party Poker to use any one of these methods.

Compatibility

Windows users will be able to download Party Poker’s software. Mac and Linux (and Windows, if they want) will be able to play in their browser via the instant play software. Along with 888, Party Poker is one of the few sites not to have a dedicated download for Mac computers.

Party Poker also has an app for Android users. Unlike PokerStars you can play for real money. It’s unfortunate that they don’t have an iOS app yet, but given how popular mobile poker is, and how much room mobile has to grow, I would expect to see an app for the iPhone and iPad sooner than later.

Party Poker (Bonus) Code

Party Poker is offering a 100% match bonus up to $500. This deal is for all players making their first deposit within 120 days of signing up.

To earn your bonus you’ll need to earn between 8 and 12x your bonus amount in Party Points, depending on the currency you use. To do that you’ll need to play real money games. You’ll earn 2 points for every $1 you pay in rake or tournament fees.

In addition to the bonus, you’ll receive 4 entries into their $1,500 new player MTTs, an entry into the $5,000 Bankroll Booster tournament and, for a limited time, their $1 / $1,000 added new player tournaments. Party Poker gives you multiple opportunities to increase your bankroll, all without having to do more than making a deposit. Something that you were undoubtedly going to do anyway.
